Computer Science provides code to unlock earning potential
With computer science set to enter the school curriculum this September, there is a huge swathe of industries — from technology, gaming, robotics, music, artificial intelligence, retail, automotive and more — eager for more specialists to enter the market.
By involving pupils in learning to programme computers through code, the new computer science syllabus moves to recognise the skills shortfall by teaching them to write software rather than just use it.
