Bett awards 2014 – finalists!-o

We’re excited to announce that Cambridge GCSE Computing Online has been shortlisted as a finalist for the 2014 Bett Awards. Part of the annual education technology event The Bett Show, the Bett Awards highlight the best and most innovative new products in learning technology.

Cambridge GCSE Computing Online is a finalist in the ‘Free digital content/Open educational resources’ category, up against projects such as Microsoft’s Kodu and the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Learn Chemistry.

Working with teachers and computer science experts from schools, universities and the business sector, our vision is to engage a new generation of learners with computing education and equip young people with vital computing skills for the global economy.
Intuitive, easy to use and free, the course is designed to support teaching and learning in KS4 computing, in classrooms, as revision or self-teaching resources and in flipped classroom situations. By April 2014, Cambridge GCSE Computing Online will feature over 350 videos with supporting resources for students and teachers, covering the entire content of the OCR GCSE course.

The winners will be announced at the Bett Awards 2014 ceremony in London on 22 January. For more information, please go to http://www.bettawards.com.
