‘Being a Tech Geek is Cool’-old

Gone are the days when a ‘tech geek’ was a lone figure in a darkened room with only the glow of the screen and the hum of computer hardware for conversation. Zea Tongeman is a driving force in changing the perception of computing, breaking down the stereotypes and giving it a ‘cool’ new lease of life.
The 14-year-old student is actively encouraging others to engage with technology in its varying formats, such as experimenting with fashion and computing. She says, like Mary Poppins, that when “you find the fun…it becomes a game”, something she has used as her motto while developing her app Jazzy Recycling.
